WORMS 〰️
We came up as part of a comedy group called Diet of Worms.
We got together with Rory Connolly, Philippa Dunne and Niall Gaffney when we were in college, and made a couple of pre-YouTube sketch shows together. Then, in 2005, we started performing live around the comedy clubs of Dublin. We took sketch shows to Edinburgh in 2006 (on a stage), 2007 (in a swimming pool) and 2008 (back on a stage) and put on comic plays for the Dublin Fringe in 2010 and 2011.
Taste of Home was developed into a three-part BBC Two sitcom called The Walshes. It was really good but not very many people ended up watching it, so three episodes was all it got alas.
All the while, we made several web serieseseses (and sketches) - like the mini mockumentaries of Dublin Stories (turned into an RTE broadcast pilot), Adventures of the Puffincat (which found a weird but enthusiastic cult following online), and Taste of Home.
We're still together as a group today, and we're developing a feature film called 'Housewife '93' with the support of Screen Ireland.
